A Holistic Recovery Program

For Women By Women

Holistic Recovery For Mothers is a unique outpatient treatment program for mental health and substance abuse developed by New Phoebe House Association.
Our program has been specifically tailored to mothers. We not only specialize in helping mothers with mental health challenges and substance use disorders but also to overcome trauma and unhealthy relationships.
Our woman only environment helps each woman to feel safe as they continue their journey to recovery and is designed to encourage long term change and stability.
We focus on whole woman recovery, including the underlying causes of addiction and decision making.
The individualized treatment and support is meant to stop the cycle of addiction, violence, and homelessness in our families now, and for future generations.
Our staff has many years of experience with how women and mothers heal.

About Us

Our Mission

Since 2002, New Phoebe House Association has been providing housing, services and support for women and children whose lives have been impacted by chemical dependence, helping

them to achieve or maintain reunification through healing, self-sufficiency, and clean and sober living.

NPHA's mission has expanded to now include treatment services, Holistic Recovery For Mothers.

Holistic Recovery for Mothers is located in the beautiful Tacoma Armory Building. Though assessments, individualized treatment planning, counseling, and group treatment settings, we hope to improve the self-worth of each woman so they may reach their goals.

Our program is open to all mothers seeking mental health services, substance use treatment, and/or domestic violence support.

Clients do not have to be a resident of New Phoebe House to participate in services.

Mental Health Services

 Allison Landes-Stordahl, LMFT, NBCC

Marriage and Family Therapists are psychotherapists and healing arts practitioners licensed by individual states and trained to work with children, individuals, and families. We are relationship specialists who treat persons involved in interpersonal relationships. We are trained to assess, diagnose and treat individuals, couples, families and groups to achieve more adequate, satisfying and productive marriages, family and social adjustments. The practice also includes premarital counseling, child counseling, divorce or separation counseling and other relationship counseling.
As a practitioner in this field, I have had extensive training in working with children, adolescents, couples, individuals & families suffering from a variety of emotional and behavioral difficulties. The treatment modalities I utilize are eclectic in nature and are tailored to the individual, as well as developmental and presenting needs of each client.
